So our spring break adventure this year included packing up the old Hake 5th wheel and trekking down the Oregon Coast. It was beautiful and we had a great time bonding. =) Lots of beach time including kites, shells, roaring ocean waves, lovely scenery, playing catch, playing board games, and yes the occasional movie at nighttime. We even made sure to watch Goonies before going to Astoria. Getting away was long needed especially for mama. I cannot wait to do it again!! We found an old atlas in a storage compartment that Grandpa Hake used to mark where he and Grandma went on their trips. AND it was fun to find all of the little homemade gadgets, little tools, and doodads Grandpa had tucked in every little hiding place. Miss him. =) He and Grandma have passed on something that creates wonderful memories for our little family.

So, it's that time. Gage is excited to try T-Ball this spring . funny thing is that he "had to have eye protection" ......according to him hee hee.....so he first came out with swimming goggles on.Ian negotiated with him and had him change to sunglasses. love it. This is one of my favorite pictures ever....obviously not for the quality but for the moment.

So are boys different than girls??? He he......silly question. I am still amazed at the difference between Gage and Ashley, beyone just gender. It is amazing how different two kids can be that live under the same roof. Gage is our silly, sensitive, easy going, little devil. =) He makes me laugh......a lot. Gage is almost 6....this month. Where has the time gone? No more babies. He has even started the path of being embarrassed at school when I hug and kiss him. =( But.....he still makes me laugh.

This picture to the left was almost a year ago, on Easter and was taken at his grandma's house. He is a constant goofball with a big heart.

Look at me, Look at me!!!!

And perhaps my favorite. Not sure what made him stop and lay down. Perhaps he was fighting having to take a nap, perhaps he was just too tired to make it upt the stairs. Whatever the reason, he slept like this for a good hour. Wish I could get that comfortable......ha ha.

I am very fortunate to be able to travel a lot in my job, but typically short one or two day trips so I don't have to be away from my family a lot. I have learned to make sure I take my camera wherever I go because you just never know when you might see something......This is Multinomah Falls which is photographed a lot Im sure. But I found myself snapping away and just watching........It is sooooo green there and rich in color.

Yeah for the Seahawks!! Who woulda thought??

Wow! two days in a row! My goal, IF I can get on here I want to update this thing weekly. Ha Ha...so the fact that Im on here again, well, says a lot considering I was only on here once per year in the last two years. Kind of embarassing when you read my first two posts on how I planned on posting so loved ones and friends could follow our lives. he he. At least Facebook helped with that. Now Im not on that at all. ;-) Anyway, here I am and we will see how long this lasts. Woke up to snow this morning. Love it, better than rain. Sundays are fabulous. Some see it as the start of a new week; not me, its a good day to end the week on. Going to take it easy today, play a little with pictures, watch it snow, have dinner with Ron and Dallas tonight and get prepared for another busy week. Ashley and Gage keep us running as does our business. In the spirit of yesterday's Seahawks' win in the playoffs, here is a picture supporting them..(kind of old but love it anyway). Gage is just a little tyke here and long outgrew his little outfit. =(

Ash and I

My plan was to head to Leavenworth today for a drive and maybe take some pictures of....whatever I came across. I asked Ash to come with and I am soooo glad I did. After a perfect lunch of girl talk and yummy food, we headed out. Just drove......ended up on the Icicle River pretty much as far as we could go before we were drivin on ice. It was beautiful. Ashley is always a good sport when mom starts telling her to stand still so I can take her picture. hee hee. I had a beautiful afternoon with my beautiful daughter. =)
